Learning and Imagination
Neural Mechanisms in Humans and Animals
This year, the theme of the summer school lecture series will be on the topic of Learning and Imagination. Specifically, we will address questions such as whether it is possible for one to learn based on no overt behavioral activity but mental imagery alone, and how dreams may facilitate learning and the organization of memory. We will also address how the relevant brain mechanisms for imagery, learning, and memory replay may be compromised under different mental disorders.
