RIKEN CBS Summer Program
The Summer Program offers the choice of a two-month internship with a CBS laboratory or an intensive one-week lecture course featuring distinguished international faculty. Though a competitive application process (open December through February), roughly 50 students are selected, about 85% coming from universities outside Japan. The Summer Program is a stimulating opportunity for young people from around the world to get together in Japan to advance their scientific knowledge.

Brain Science Training Program
This is a year-round program for a small, select group of students from institutions in the Tokyo area. Featuring weekly lectures in English by CBS faculty members, the training program is developed in close collaboration with CBS's academic partners and takes full advantage of the scientific diversity at CBS.

Junior Research Associate program (JRA)
The Junior Research Associate (JRA) program provides part-time positions at RIKEN for energetic and open-minded young researchers enrolled in Japanese university PhD programs for the purpose of giving them the opportunity to carry out research alongside RIKEN scientists, enhancing RIKEN's creative and basic research capabilities, and strengthening ties between RIKEN and universities in Japan.
