Comment

  • Ikumi Oomoto
    Postdoctoral Researcher

I am pleased and honored to receive the Gold Award. In discussions with researchers, I received many questions and comments from diverse perspectives including behavioral, neural circuit, molecular, and theoretical perspectives, which was very CBS-like. I am encouraged by this award, and I would like to pursue my research further.

  • Sai Tanimoto
    Student Trainee

Thank you very much for selecting me for the Gold Award. This was my first onsite poster session at RIKEN CBS and I had a lot of stimulating and exciting discussions with many researchers from various backgrounds. It was a great surprise for me to receive the prize since I was keenly aware of the difficulty of biology experiments at that time, but it was also a great encouragement. I would like to continue to push forward with my research so that I could present more satisfactory results at the next retreat.

  • Ken-ichi Dewa
    Research Scientist

Thank you very much for the wonderful award. I participated in the CBS Retreat 2021 last year, and I am very happy that I was able to present my research based on the feedback and questions I received there. This was my first time participating onsite, so I was nervous, but as I watched everyone listening attentively to me in front of my poster, I became enthusiastic about my explanation, and the time passed by so quickly that I forgot about my nervousness.

  • Yoshiki Ito
    Junior Research Associate

I am pleased to have received the Silver Award for my poster presentation. It was my first time presenting this research, and I was very nervous about what kind of feedback I would receive. In fact, many people listened to my presentation and gave me many positive comments, which gave me confidence in my research. However, since this research is still at the mid-point, I will proceed by incorporating the feedback I received at the poster presentation.

  • Mei Hao
    Postdoctoral Researcher

It was a great pleasure for me to present my ongoing work atin the CBS Retreat 2022. The pPreparation for myof the presentation leaded me to think about my research more profoundly, while the presentation itself provided me a good opportunitychance to polish my presentation skills and to introduce my work logically and concisely. All the inspirational feedback I received from team leaders and other colleagues wasare very valuable and encouraged me to further improve my research. Beyond the presentation of ourmy work, the Retreat provides a great opportunity to meet colleagues with common interests and helps us to build social networks, which could promote the future collaboration.

  • Yoshihito Saito
    Student Trainee

I am very pleased to receive the Bronze Award. I would like to thank everyone who has been involved in this research. The retreat provided a great platform for active discussions with participants from CBS and UCSF, and it was extremely valuable to exchange ideas with researchers who adopt different perspectives and methods in their research. I hope that this retreat is not the end of our discussions, and I would like to continue them for future collaborations.
